Trip to Damdama Lake

    Last month, I got chance to go to Damdama lake. Damdama lake is in Gurgaon district of Haryana approximately 50 km from Dhaula Kuan, Delhi. It is a nice place for having fun trip.

    Damdama lake fills a depression in the Aravalli hills which forms a striking backdrop to its placid waters. One can enjoy boating in Damdama lake by row boats, paddle boats, motor boats. Damdama lake is also good place for adventure activities like Hot air ballooning, Para sailing, Rock climbing, Cycling, Trekking and Camel safari.

    We had enjoyed boating there, the cost of boating was Rs 150 for 4 for 30 minutes. We were so much indulged in taking selfie and so our boat got stuck in sand near the shore. Boat owner was calling us to stand in the water of lake and push the boat. But we didn't do this. After sometime, by applying concepts of physics, we move the boat without jumping out of it and finally reached the starting point in due time.

    This adventurous trip taught us many lessons. 

 

 

 

Search of haunted places in Delhi

    Yesterday, Tuntun calls me, said "shooting club chalna hai". I said O.K. We go to Sportz Craft Inc, shooting club in Punjabi Bagh, Delhi. It was amazing experience. The cost of shooting there is Rs 280 for 30 shots. We did both pistol as well as gun shooting there.

    Then Tuntun says , "ab kahan chalna hai". I said "Agrasen ki Baoli". We reached there within half an hour. It is an old well built by Maharaja Agrasen. It is said to be one of the most haunted places in Delhi. It is also a favorite hangout place for the youngsters.

    Then we left for Bhuli Bhatiyari ka mahal, Jhandewalan. It is situated in the Delhi Ridge. It is also said to be Delhi's one of the most haunted places. Nearby there is a place called 'Rangmanch' which is also said to be haunted. People says there was a fire accident took place in 'Rangmanch (theater)' and many people had died there. One can find very tight security in this region.

    After that, we left for the search of another haunted place in Delhi, called Malcha Mahal. It is situated right next to Delhi Earth Station on the Bistdari Road in Delhi Ridge. It is the restricted part of the forest behind the Buddha Jyanti Park (Buddha Garden), the palace is awfully scary. Malcha Mahal is also known as Bistdari Mahal. Begum Wilayat Mahal, the great granddaughter of Nawab of Oudh was given this place along with her children Prince Riaz and Princess Sakina by the Government after her long protest for the return of her properties spread across the country. Begum Wilayat Mahal committed suicide by drinking crushed diamonds. Her body was lying on her study desk for 10 days and her kids were mourning in grief. The night before Prince Riaz buried her, both her kids slept with her dead body. Since her mother’s death, Princess Sakina has only wore black colour.

    We had not gone inside the Malcha mahal but had crossed from there nearby as there was too much security there which may be because of ISRO's satellite station is also there inside the jungle just few feet away from Malcha mahal.

   

Sanjay Van

     On 3rd Feb 2016, my friend Tuntun says "Chal kahin Ghum ke aate hain". I said where, he said Ber Sarai, then I said no, we will go to Sanjay Van.

    Sanjay Van is a sprawling city forest area near Vasant Kunj, J.N.U, and Mehrauli (Qutub Minar) in Delhi, India. It is spread over 783 Acres. Amid a growing demand from nature lovers, the forest is going to be made a bird sanctuary. It is said to be one of the most haunted place in Delhi where often a lady in white Saree is seen which suddenly disappears but causes no harm to anyone.

.

    This place is adventurous, trekking and peaceful forest area in the heart of Delhi. It is must visit place for the nature enthusiasts and bird watchers who lives in and around Delhi. Here one can find many species of birds, Butterflies, Nilgai, Golden Jackal and a large variety of Snakes including King Cobra.

   There are multiple entry and exit points, but the ones at the Qutub Institutional Area and Neela Hauz Bridge near Vasant Kunj are the least confusing. Be dressed in full-length trousers and shoes to avoid the thorny shrubbery and tank yourselves up with a lot of fluids and snacks, as there is no retail in the quiet of the woods.
